On February 10, 2023, Professor of the Institute and guarantor of the educational program Dunayev I.V. made a presentation at the Winter IT School for students of mathematics and IT specialties from the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.
The report was devoted to a very topical issue – “Blockchain and the modern “state as a platform”. What can be the world leadership?”. The report addressed 5 key issues:
- Why has the modern world started to “curl up” to digital platforms, and states are no exception?
- What does GaaP offer and what does it warn against?
- Modern examples of the “state as a platform”: best practices and new encouraging solutions based on blockchain technology.
- The difference between centralized and decentralized platforms
- What does Ukraine offer to the world and why do we have no other way to win the technological struggle?
The report convincingly demonstrated that modern Ukraine has a lot to offer Europe and the world, namely: 1) virtual asset circulation environments and relevant ecosystems; 2) procedures for creating digital assets based on the primary asset and a digital system for recording such data in blockchain registries; 3) interesting and real social and commercial projects based on the use of tokenized assets; 4) new legislation and regulatory approaches that are not yet available in the world.
We are confident that this can make a very significant contribution to the modernization of social relations towards more just and holistic ones.
For reference: The Winter IT School has become one of the main events of the Talent and Education Management program at the Transcarpathian IT Cluster and has been prepared since September 2022 in cooperation with Uzhhorod National University and the Transcarpathian Regional Administration. The Winter IT School was attended by almost 100 students who want to take advantage of the opportunity and borrow the knowledge of the best specialists of the leading Ukrainian IT companies – residents of the IT cluster – to find themselves in the IT field as soon as possible.
