Modernization of public relations and change management

This is a new important discipline that is mandatory for all our students. Its appearance is caused by the need to give a generalized presentation of modern global trends and problems in order to form more clear understanding of where the World was and is headed now, what are those scenarios of social and economic renewal of society in the digital era. In many ways, this is caused by the ongoing breakdown of the world’s neoliberal paradigm (free trade, world patent system, access to credit funds, deregulation…) and the change in the world order in the mid-2020s.

The idea of the discipline is to connect the current ‘labyrinth’ of social processes and possible ways out of it with the desired ‘spirit’ of human-centered changes in society as a result of social modernization. Show the transition from the ‘empty world’ to the ‘full world’. In the ‘empty world’, resources were perceived as almost limitless compared to the needs of humanity, and economic growth was perceived as the norm and ultimate goal.

The world does not yet have precise new answers to these problems, but today many intellectuals are actively discussing it in various formats. New ways of achieving balance between man and nature, between culture and new technologies, between personal and social, between fair reward and social equality, between market power and law are being studied. Understanding this is really important for training new cadres and leaders for a renewed country and after the war.

Practical classes are filled with discussion of interesting international cases and cross-analysis of situations in different countries and in different types of society.

Volume of study load: 5 ECTS credits.

  • to develop the ability to find and interpret optimistic international and local examples (success stories) and, based on this, to join efforts to jointly prepare political proposals on how to return social development to the path of local and global sustainability and people-centeredness at the national and local levels – from national policy and to cross-border digital ecosystems
  • to develop awareness of responsible and economical consumption of all available resources – from material to the resource of human trust and personal communication. This will significantly contribute to the personal development of the student and the quality of his social environment.
