International Economics

The discipline is rather traditional for our Institute and contains ‘honed’ lectures by an experienced professor and interesting practical cases & complex discussions for group discussions inside.

The purpose of the discipline is to form students’ theoretical knowledge & develop practical skills in substantiating the patterns of development of international economy, forms, methods and mechanisms of implementing international economic relations, analyzing the Ukrainian foreign economic policy in a process of its global integration.

The discipline clearly guides a student to find out a place of national economies in the system of global economic relations, to understand the modern world economic space as a globalized economic environment, functioning of which determines key trends of social development.

Some of the main topics to cover are the environment of international economic relations; international scientific & technical exchange; international labor migration; international investments & international credit; world currency system; international economic integration; strategies of sustainable development of the countries of the World and Ukraine.

Volume of study load: 5 ECTS credits.

  • to understand an essence of the international economic system & the patterns of its development, methods of analysis of the political-legal, economic, socio-cultural environment & infrastructure of international economic activity;
  •  to acquire knowledge about the regulation of international economic relations, the international currency system, the methodology of international settlements, the processes in international economic integration;
  • to develop ability to use acquired knowledge for drafting projects for practical solutions & evaluation of real processes in field of foreign economic activity of Ukraine
